Anyone else notice a few certain people have been absent from commenting on this issue? And funny out of that same group of people NONE of them brought this to the board, even tho they post everything else related to this series..... let's do a new poll or better yet take bets on how long this new series lasts, I say gone by 4th of July myself.....

I just figure as long as no forms are needed and my s.s. number wouldn't be required you should be OK to race. Sounds DOA..atleast already on life support and it hasn't even started.....flat line. Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep

Exactly. When I saw the title of this thread, today, what I saw was a death rattle. This series probably wasn't going to be successful anyways, but shedding their "steel blocks only" nature gives up the only possible niche that they had. That's just my opinion.

Who is going to travel to all these dates? Some of them are pretty good trips.
Most of those places do not have great track records...

This is not an official post by the ASCT group. If anyone wants to call me I'll be glad to explain why we did this. Our purses will speak for themselves and the list of competitors will suprise you. Read the Q+A that was posted and if you still don't understand it call me.812-420-1973.

Im looking at it from a fan point of view. When a fan as like myself you go and watch sprints cars you don't care if there steel blocks or not. But you do care to see a good race and people making it happen have a good show for the fans. Im looking forward in seeing this series when they come to Montpelier on June 4. They also seem to care about racing not only with sprints and midgets plus the supporting classes along with them.

I applaud John for making this decision.
I won't throw my arm out of joint patting myself on the back, since I was one of the first to recommend allowing alum block cars.
I think we should all chill out and see if one of their races may be close to home, and we should all attend and support this group. We all love open wheel racng, right?
There's about (6) races I'll bring my car to, now that alum blocks are OK. I'll bring friends and family.
I do have (2) complaints.
John, you should man up and not hide behind your e mail as to why you made this choice. You've used this board for free advertising for how long? Now you don't want to talk to those of us that are you're target audience, all of a sudden? Bad move.
I think, and this is just my opinion (I know, I know, opinions are like...), but the one thing that will hold this series back now is the distance between tracks. I live outside Chicago and the races in Freeport, Il and Wisc are just too far for me. Same for the races in Kentucky.
But, you are bringing non wing sprint cars, my favorite, to tracks that otherwise wouldn't have them, and I am grateful for that.
I will race with you as much as possible and I encourage everyone to go see a show.
Shoot, Kieth Ford from Paragon posted about his races a few weeks ago, and he said, "If you can't come to Paragon, at least support your local track"

Race fans (?????????) on a public message board ambushing a series that hasn't even started. Unbelievable.
