Are points awarded in qualifing races also....besides passing points???

Yes. You get finishing points and passing points just as you ill in the heat races. The combined point total is used to determine the starting line-up.
The one thing I don't like about the format is the A-Main is started straight up. Maybe a die could be used to determine an invert. The die could be thrown on the front straight between the B finish and the A by the top point driver. The worst he would start is 6th and he could still end up on the pole!! Rob Hoffman |
