Wow. If that's not stereotyping I don't know what is. I know plenty of "kids" that race that take care of their equipment, and know what they have. Penalty fit the crime. |

Glad to hear Mr. Memmer recieved a suspension for his actions. JMHO he will be paying the price for his actions allot longer than the length of his suspension. If Mr. Memmer ever had dreams or the desire to make it in the big leagues of auto racing, he has no one but himself to blame for those dreams being dashed. He will be damaged goods as far as securing sponsorship for years to come in my opinion.

Still say those t-shirts of his car facing down a Chinese tank would sell big time.

Some of the young men and woman that race today, regardless of their age or financial standing, are honest, caring and love the sport Racing. They do their best to emulate the best drivers in the business, while looking for the respect of their peers and all parties involved. Actually, not some, MOST. I believe these young people will find your post offensive but will not make a stance because they have been taught better. So I will make the statement. Bunching everyone of these youngsters into a group that associates them with something this dramatic is wrong. Regardless of Financial Standing or Age, an incident this dramatic is unfortunate and we believe unacceptable just like everyone else. But we respectfully request to not be labeled, just like some of the other youngsters do, as a "problem group" because of age and financial standing. It is just not right. We are friends with the Memmers but certainly do not condone or support John's actions on that night. I am sure their Family has taken a serious beating by many over this incident. As for the rest of the "kids", I can assure you this is one group that would not have to wait for any sanctions to be placed against our driver. He would already be back in New York working at a Hamburger Stand if that kind of actions took place under this Flag. I am sure that is the same with many other parents of these young guns. So please be a little more cautious with your tagging of these kids. Most of them are going to do this sport a lot of justice in the coming years. Pete Gulick Hazardous Sports CGR

Mark Sr. Wow you must have the same guy writing your material that John used in his apology, although you didnt mention a tank. All kids are not bad, and I do take offense at your comments. I normally do not post, but after reading both your post, I had to reply. You are entitiled to your opinion, even when your wrong. There are a lot of good kids out there, in racing and everywhere else. They are our future. I think we are in good hands.

I personally think he should be sat down for the rest of the year. No need to see him on the track anytime soon IMO.
All kids aren't like that I will say. Chad Boat is a great example to me. Nice, polite, respectful, fast, and wins. He knows how the car works and can work on it himself. He takes care of his equipment because he knows his dad is giving him a great opportunity to race. |

I hope otheer tracks and officials will have a keen eye on John when comes to race with them. He is still a loaded gun with a short powder fuse. This is sad for race fans.
