I was there and watching closely and in my opinion if Steele doesn't get that caution he would have had to pit under green and he would have lost the race.

Too bad Elliot and and Hollingsworth had engine issues.
But worse than that was Brian Tyler's misfortune. All the Gordon vs Steele chatter on here and nobody's giving Tyler a mention for his drive to the front before losing his engine. He looked really good getting there guys. Anybody know what the situation was?

Just have one question...is traction control legal for this race since it is not a USAC sanctioned race?
I owe my crew an apology for the poor choice of words I used after the race. My crew gave me two great pit stops, I couldn't have asked for a better group. I did not lose the race in the pits. I lost to Dave on the track. In my frustration after the race I used poor judgement in interviews. Dave did what he had to do to win and so did I. What I did was deemed illegal. All of us show up to win. That race means more than most other if not all races. Dave is a driver I always use as a standard of competition at any track. I congratulated Dave and Lynn and his crew after the race. Dave should have won several 500's but had freak deals take them away. I wish him and Lynn all the best on their upcoming nuptuals. I mainly want my team to know they did everything they could and then some to put our car in a position to win, we just got beat. I tried to push the rules like all people in racing have at one time or another and I was penalized, for that I apologize to them.
