I've seen ads for a 36 lb. Bert Sprint Car transmission. Would it be against the rules to run one of these units? It seems like it would be worth the investment, just to avoid the possibility of your push truck not being there, or the motor on the push truck dying, etc. Especially when pitting under green.

First of all, I think you may be the idiot. Your first statement only contradicts itself. Basically you said "Nice job Donnie, but why didn't you allow the leaders to put you a lap down while you're running third?"

Were you one of the morons that stood up and cheered as soon as Steele turned Adams around, just to draw the yellow? If Donnie was holding him up so much and Steele was obviously the fastest car, why couldn't he just pass Donnie clean on the high side?

Not bashing the Anderson Herald, but how often do local newspapers get the entire story and know all the true facts? Are you getting your opinions/facts from the newspaper or from your own personal accounts?

...Donnie Adams, Jr. ran a hell of a race and was in the top 5 all night, as well as Jacob Wilson. Glad to see those guys do well.

I was there and watching closely and in my opinion if Steele doesn't get that caution he would have had to pit under green and he would have lost the race.

Personal accounts, and the paper backs it up.. maybe you should have been in steeles pit when adams came up and gave him congrats on the win, and the conversation they had.. until then zip your lip hero..

Its funny their was 80 + laps left and you want to say their wouldnt be another caution.. you dont know that!

Adams finished 3 laps down.. not 1.. first off.. and lost 1 from the spin out.. so hmm do the math.. and again lastly, its hard to pass someone on the high side when they are running the middle of the track..

POINT BEING STEELE WON, GORDON WAS OUT OF LINE.. AND IT SEEMS LIKE EVERYONES ON THE GORDON BAND WAGON.. thats fine but dont whine when you lose.. and you lose after blocking on a caution lap.. and then blame on losing the race in the pits.. this post should be renamed everyone who whines like ERIC.. lol other than that its over.. Steele won.. take it to the house! later...

P.s. ELI, sorry for the idiot remark.. it was out of line.. sorry for that..

Too bad Elliot and and Hollingsworth had engine issues.

But worse than that was Brian Tyler's misfortune. All the Gordon vs Steele chatter on here and nobody's giving Tyler a mention for his drive to the front before losing his engine. He looked really good getting there guys. Anybody know what the situation was?

So I've "done the math" and he ended up 3 laps down instead of 2 and he, luckily, didn't lose a position... But, that wasn't my point. And I understand that Dave and Donnie were okay after the race, but it's still frustrating to see someone deliberately spun out who was holding their line and in third place. If your boy Steele was that good and had any patience he would have been able to make the pass.

Just have one question...is traction control legal for this race since it is not a USAC sanctioned race?

I owe my crew an apology for the poor choice of words I used after the race. My crew gave me two great pit stops, I couldn't have asked for a better group. I did not lose the race in the pits. I lost to Dave on the track. In my frustration after the race I used poor judgement in interviews. Dave did what he had to do to win and so did I. What I did was deemed illegal. All of us show up to win. That race means more than most other if not all races. Dave is a driver I always use as a standard of competition at any track. I congratulated Dave and Lynn and his crew after the race. Dave should have won several 500's but had freak deals take them away. I wish him and Lynn all the best on their upcoming nuptuals. I mainly want my team to know they did everything they could and then some to put our car in a position to win, we just got beat. I tried to push the rules like all people in racing have at one time or another and I was penalized, for that I apologize to them.

Classy post Eric, and a great job last night. And a great job as well by Dave Steele. The previous 8 Little 5's we've been to, he's had some bad breaks while running good enough to win, so maybe justice was served.
I do have to admit that the spin of Donnie, Jr. really pissed me off. Dave had run some 410 laps without touching anyone, so why spin the 3rd place guy, whose holding his line and a lap down. If it was for the caution he needed for tires, then that's just cheap in my book. And I debate that he was holding anyone up.

On a personal note, don't know about E.G., but I needed a tissue after that race run by Donnie Adams, Jr.
I'm thinkin' the old man was mighty proud looking down on us last night.
