Indianapolis 500 veteran Jimmy Kite of Stockbridge, Ga., is scheduled to return to Salem Speedway for the first time in over 20 years on Saturday, August 11th, as he and car owner Mike Blake have teamed up for the upcoming Joe James/Pat O’Connor Memorial sprint classic. The 5-time Indy 500 starter, who last raced at Salem in 1997, is scheduled to compete in 3 TRUFUEL Must See Racing Xtreme Sprint Series events, beginning with the James/O’Connor Memorial. “Its always fun to go back to tracks where you’ve run well and even better when you’ve won at them like at Salem,” said Kite. The 1997 USAC Silver Crown Rookie of the Year is also scheduled to race at Anderson and Winchester later this season.

He was he11 on wheels back then without a wing. With a wing over his head he should be able to put on a real show. Without the wing there was really only one grove that was fast around that old track with wings the sky is the limit!

Did I misunderstand something here?
I'm not good at math but if he was at Salem in 1997, that's 14 years ago, not 20 years ago.
