I still recall Kinser, Gaines, & Nordhorn putting on quite a show on this night as they and others often did back then. I was perhaps even more pleased to recall that a young charger named John Mugavin in #57 won the Stock Car Feature on that night followed by Ross Smith, Pat Patrick, Bob Creviston, and Jerry Lipps. John had run 2nd in his heat and won the Fast Car Dash. I've heard there is a 2nd generation Mugavin still racing. :confused: Anyone have any info on that??? :wink:O::wink

Ira Bastin, oh my, still see him from time to time at Rosie's Diner when the stove is broke:wink He and his brother Isra were quite the duo in their day.Not to be messed with unless you had a desire for some pain:eek:
