Marv, you are right peddie was in our car. He didn't last that long as granny gave him the axe a few weeks later. I've got a stack of small notebooks with the same info your giving. Some people never throw anything away if you know what i mean. It may take a couple of days but i'll find them....

I was perhaps even more pleased to recall that a young charger named John Mugavin in #57 won the Stock Car Feature on that night followed by Ross Smith, Pat Patrick, Bob Creviston, and Jerry Lipps. John had run 2nd in his heat and won the Fast Car Dash. I've heard there is a 2nd generation Mugavin still racing. Anyone have any info on that??? :wink:O::wink[/QUOTE]
Thanks for the flashback Marv. I would love to see more of these. As far as a second generation still racing we will see. After 20 years we have decided its not financially responsible to continue on. After all Dad may want to retire in 30 or 40 years.:O: With the housing market dead I have went to work for a more secure company that requires I work some weekends. After all I may want to also retire someday.:O: I am not saying we are done racing completely as I am working on a few things and I will always be involved in racing to some extent. We will see I may concentrate on getting the 3rd generation started with a Kart. Anything is possible but I will definetly find my buddies under the 'A' next season. As far as the Late Model guys driving Sprints I think most guys that did halfway decent in stock cars were given a chance in Spints if they wanted it. Most people don't realize it but Dad's last race competively was in a winged Sprinter at the Burg in 92 or 93. I will never forget that the motor blew and started a pretty nice fire and Dad brought it to a stop in 3 and 4. I was a little concerned because Dads equipment was pretty old and he never wore gloves or much fire protection. I got to the car and Dad was calmly getting out and his first words were "I think we need to tighten your car up a little. Its starting to slick over" |

I missed the train of thought somewhere along the line. I didn't realize that Bob had a brother who painted. |

9 owned by Leo McCoskey... 46 Verne Kunkel ...97 Bill Starr ( Edwin the mag mans dad ) ... The black and white 14 was Pete and Jerry Brewers ( It didn`t have that unique shade of very light red until 73 or 74 ). Dad had some speculations about some of the others but I thought I would go with the ones he seemed at least 75% sure of...
