I'll agree that the WoO shows are too expensive, but the racing last night was great. If all you did was watch Lance DeWease you saw a tremendous amout of passing. Had to come from deep in the B-Main pack to get the last transfer on the last corner and then move up from 23rd to 4th in the feature. Also, Terry McCarl started 14th or 15th and finished third. Tim Shaffer was on the charge and entered the top5 when he got bumped by Chad Layton. Had to go to the rear and in 15laps moved back up to finish 12th. This was not follow the leader train racing.

Overall, I'd say the Outlaws put on a good show 70-80% of the time. The only Outlaw show I went to last year that just didn't pan out was at Dixie Speedway and that track is always hit/miss no matter what's running on it (and probably why the Outlaws won't be back this year).

On the other hand, the show at Volunteer Speedway (Bulls Gap, TN) was awesome and they will be back for two shows this year.

Of course my opinion is slanted, but only 410 non-wings and super-modifieds consistently deliver the goods when it comes to great racing.

I thought about going to New Smyrna, but I'm glad I did Volusia again. Don't think it would be hard to get a seat at New Smyrna. Looking at the photos on Speed51.com, looks like they got lots of empty seats.

I'm checking out of the hotel and I'm pondering going to the track for another night and napping in the car before heading home. After 6 sprint shows the last eight nights, what's one more?

I really wish the ARCA race was a stand alone event. I'd gladly go to that this afternoon and then leave. See how Stenhouse and some of the other up and comers fair. I drove by the big track last night after the Volusia show and it was really quiet. Not much activity for the night before one of the races.
