There is no simple answer...lots of good answers in these responses...includes having safety teams that are well-trained and well-equipped...proper seats and seat belt systems...head/neck...

I seriously question whether those were REAL safety crew members...have seen lots of safety crew do lots of things...have NEVER seen that kind of neglect with containers of golden beverages...if real...

Sometimes folks question extra effort/emphasis on safety response, etc...these photos illustrate the "crap happens" phenomenon that requires diligence on safety...HANS devices, full containment...

Being a fellow tall person, I have never seen tall sized fire retardant undies...would suggest the CarbonX over the Nomex...have worn them for 5 years and really like them. The better TPP is worth...

If in fact the burns were caused by hot fluids, the importance of water-based extinguishing agents, like Cold Fire or Fire Aide 2000, are so critical. Not only do they extinguish the fire more...

Without knowing more about their exact injuries, my hunch is they had compression fractures of the verterbrae...it is very hard to keep the upper body perfectly aligned in a crash, given the pelvis...

Do you have a current helmet...what certification does it meet? In general, I would encourage using the best helmet available now. Usually, the newer certification do not represent huge...
