does anyone know what E1 then 08 flashed on tac means?
engine would not run down the straightaway, pulled ok off the corner then went flat and lost power down the straight.

Error Codes: E1: This indicates the unit did not follow its normal sequence and had to restart itself.
This code may rarely appear if motor is started at the exact instant the tach was shuttung off--- Reading would still be OK.

This is what the Tel Tac manual says.

Danny according to the Tel Tac instruction sheet code 'E1' reads as follows:

Error Codes. Unit may flash an error code after the engine is stopped along with the RPM reading (reading may not be correct)
E 1 This indicates the unit did not follow its normal sequence and had to restart itself. This code may rarely appear if motor was started at the exact instant the tach was shutting off- reading would still be OK.
