im just gonna take a guess on this one, but if JGR cant get Carl, they may take a stab at gettin Cole in a Nationwide car next year hold of to 13' to put him in a 4th JGR car, or possibly if Logano doesn't make strides he could take the 20 seat

JGR won't take him, they already have several drivers under contract in lower series they can't move up quickly enough. I think they want someone more experienced and capable of winning to either place in a 4th car or to replace Logano who lately has looked more like "Toast" than "Sliced Bread"..... I wonder myself if Red Bull won't stay in NASCAR as a sponsor since it is the biggest source of exposure for them, I tend to think/hope they sell out like the SHR deal but stick around on at least one of the cars as a sponsor. Maybe a Martin/Frye owned team with Mark driving a year or 2 more while they build up a younger driver.

NASCAR is probably not even in the top 10 of advertising venues that Red Bull uses to market their products.

I'd have to agree on this. Their NASCAR sponsorship is probably like comparing the World Series to the World Cup. I'm sure Cole will wind up in a pretty good ride.

I meant biggest source of exposure in the USA, I know they do alot around the world, some of which is bigger (F1 for sure) but where else do they get the bang for the buck that NASCAR has given them here in the USA? F1 isn't a blip on the radar here, the air racing doesn't grab much attention and "flutag" or whatever they call it hasn't reached the heights here that it has in Europe(not even close). They (Red Bull) stated they were looking for investors so I'm willing to bet they won't leave NASCAR, just change how they go about it.

Cole is a great shoe, but talent alone doesn't get you anywhere anymore. You need CASH to move up. For Cole's sake I hope Red Bull sticks around a while or he may be out of luck. There are a lot of guys with talent going no where in the present economy, from the local to to guys in NASCRAP. No money, no ride.

X Games, Shaun White, Travis Pastrana, Etc, Etc.

Red Bull is sold to 18-24. NASCAR does not have much of that market or does dirt racing (a majority of fans are 34-49+). One Travis Pastrana product placement on ESPN could equal the entire numbers that all of the dirt tracks in the United States combined can hold.

That is the reality of it.

To be noted. Pastrana is in the NASCAR system and he IS their guy.
