10-01-08 The Throttle will be in Terre Haute on Saturday racing in the Hut 100. He will be driving a THIRD car for Tony Stewart Racing! There is one catch however. This car will be a backup for Levi Jones..... so if Levi has any problems before racetime Shane is bumped out of it. This is a GREAT opportunity for the Throttle! We are all wishing him the best.... and hoping Levi has a smooth night! :applaud:

Great news for the Throttle:thumb...bummer though I was hoping he'd be at the Burg:crying:. He better drive the wheels off of that TSR midget :checkered:

:checkered:This is great news!! Do we think that this might mean a ride for "09" in the stewart racing sprint car and midgets for Shane? That would be great to see Shane get a shot with Stewart Racing! He is one guy that would make Stewart racing and the rest of us proud!

Wouldn't that be something if he can parlay this opportunity into a full time deal for 2009? I don't think many would argue that he would do great for TSR.
Hey Tony.... Hire Cottle! He would drive the wheels off ALL 3 divisions of race cars!!!

Thanks for all the support! :D Just to clear the air, there isn't a seat open for TSR. They are just wanting to get some laps on a new motor. :checkered:

i would rather see cottle in the sprint at the burg! Not a real big fan of the TSR cars mainly because of their owner! ANyway GOOD LUCK COTTLE no matter who u drive for your still my driver!!

Well unless something mechanical would happen I'd say Shane has a real good chance of getting to run the car. Best of luck to all 3 of the TSR cars in the Hut 100.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm thinking the Saucier 1st is as good, if not better, than the TSR Chevy's right now. If Levi or Tracy miss the show, does that mean Shane is in the stands watching?

It was explained to me like this:

This car is going to be a backup for Levi. IF Levi has trouble during the night and his primary ride cannot run, he will then drive the car Shane was supposed to drive. So, yes..... if Levi has trouble...... Shane is a spectator.

Still with that being said..... I think it says a lot about Shane that TSR called him to drive the car. I know this is a one off deal, but as I have said to both Shane and Danelle..... I just hope he can parlay this into a future ride with TSR. Contos equipment is first rate.... but with a TSR budget...... man the Throttle racing all 3 divisions would be an AWESOME THING!
