King of the Midwest Sprints Rescheduled for May 14th at Lawrenceburg Speedway
Lawrenceburg Speedways King of the Midwest Sprints race, which had been postponed due to rain on April 30th, has been rescheduled and will now be run on Saturday May 14th. As an added bonus Lawrenceburg promoter Dave Rudisell has bumped up the already increased purse by nearly $2,000 more, with the winner now taking home $2,500. The cross promotion with Kokomo Speedway continues so if a driver wins the King of the Midwest Sprints race Saturday night ($2,500 to win), and can then win the King of Kokomo race Sunday night ($2,500 to win), they will earn a bonus of $1,000 making their total take for the weekend $6,000! Re: Lawrenceburg: 5/14 King of the Midwest Sprints $2,500 to
CJ Leary was crowned the 2015 King of the Midwest Sprints. Who will be King this year?

Re: Lawrenceburg: 5/14 King of the Midwest Sprints $2,500 to
Hope to be able to make it, I'll be back weekly soon to keep a eye on section A, Which I didn't see last weekend.

Me too. Our motor will be finished real soon. Looking forward to racing at my home track again!

Re: Lawrenceburg: 5/14 King of the Midwest Sprints $2,500 to
I know a mod racer just waiting on his motor for a sprinter too. He was often fastest on the track in a mod. I think he'll do real well.

Yep, Tony McVey.

Re: Lawrenceburg: 5/14 King of the Midwest Sprints $2,500 to
I cannot guarantee I'll be there for at least another few weeks. But rest assured by Sprint Week I'll be there to get my DD sister hugs. Which I did get last year after missing a year.
I've been very lucky to make 2 and 1/2 shows of the 4 so far. Plan to hit some other tracks as well later in the year Used to hitting 30-50 shows a year. last two have been less than 10 with last year a all time low on 7 |
Don't forget about tonights cross promotion with Kokomo Speedway. If a driver wins the King of the Midwest Sprints race this evening at Lawrenceburg Speedway ($2,500 to win), and can then win the King of Kokomo race tomorrow night at Kokomo Speedway ($2,500 to win), they will earn a bonus of $1,000 making their total take for the weekend $6,000!

Yea! Congrats Jon, and thanks so much for the updates. Planned on going, then had to go out of town, so wondering how it was going. I bet it was a bit chilly but always good racing at the burg.

Re: Lawrenceburg: 5/14 King of the Midwest Sprints $2,500 to
Congrats to Jon Stanbrough! A guy who has no problem wearing a crown with all his K.I.S.S championships on his KING OF THE MIDWEST WIN!
Will he sweep and claim the $1,000 bonus at Kokomo? GYATK! Looking at the speednet direct results it looked like great racing took place. Many heats with lots of passing and moving forward and the feature had a couple big movers like Leary and Gaines. Sandy said something about final checker fell on last feature before midnight. So that was cool. 4 heats 2 consi's Feature! In three of four classes? lots of racing! Congrats! Unofficial Results http://www.speednetdirect.com/results.php?track_id=8771 |
