MSCS @ TSS still a go for Saturday
TSS posted on their Facebook page that things are still on for tomorrow - I don't think anyone could have stated it better:
Tri-State Speedway- "The Class Track" Yes it's hot and yes we are still going to run on Sat. night. Please use good common sense and don't come at 4:00 to sit in the hot sun. There will be plenty of seats for everyone. Remember that hot laps (and we mean really hot) will start at 6:30 followed by racing at 7:30 PM. Stay hydrated and dress appropriately please. Everyone is hoping for a break in the heat and dry weather! Yes we do need rain very badly. You know it's bad when a dirt track is needing rain in order to survive. I'm sure Tom needs the rain for the crops and let's all say a prayer that we get a non racing day rain break soon! Sacha |
Re: MSCS @ TSS still a go for Saturday
The track is being prepped as we speak.

Re: MSCS @ TSS still a go for Saturday

I am no weatherman, but it looks to me that Tri State may be the place to be tonight. Good luck wherever you go and stay cool and be safe!!

Re: MSCS @ TSS still a go for Saturday
I'm going to wait until at least 6:30 to arrive. The crowd was really down at Bloomington last night, not much more than half the usual fireworks night crowd. No doubt the heat was the cause, and Bloomington has more areas in which to escape the heat than TSS does. Hope we have that great westerly breeze tonight that we had at the last TSS race.

Sweet. Thanks.

Just seen on twitter 16 cars.

Sure is the class track for a reason. Tommy and his wife are giving away free water. On the other note features are gonna start about 830. Haha wow!!!!

Glad I stayed home.....$20 to see 16 cars just as bad as last race....21 cars. Paragon & LPS got more cars than that for a lot less money.....hummm. Kokomo had 26 cars last time they ran against TSS and only paid $1400 to win

Motor masher you blow. Kyle cummins got the win with the best in the business. That was an amazing race for 16 cars and 8 cars finishing. So happy Kyle got his first win at TSS

Re: MSCS @ TSS still a go for Saturday
congrats to kyle and the whole family and crew. wish i did not have to work tonight.
|
What a great race for the car count. Track was fast...maybe a little too fast. Cummins, Gardner, Ballou, and Jones were flat out booking it. Another great night of nonwing sprint car racing!

Re: MSCS @ TSS still a go for Saturday
Excellent.................Quality over quantity anyday............9:30 pm and I am in bed.......WoooHooo.............Cummins looked like his dad tonight.........No more comparisons Kyle...Stripes are earned.......Motorbasher...There is a reason you do not run anymore.........Pure ignorance.............Nice chattin tonight Ron...

Re: MSCS @ TSS still a go for Saturday
ya let kyle cummins get his glory for his win tonight instead of another ******** thread about car count or what track is better. kyle well deserved this win!! i sure hope somebody picks him up for sprint week or a sponsor comes on board or something cuz the way he has been running lately he could make some noise!!!
|
Re: MSCS @ TSS still a go for Saturday
GREAT RACE FOR KYLE CUMMINS 3c!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FIRST AT TSS WITH MANY TO FOLLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As for everyone complaining about the car count if you weren't there you didn't see the race so take your complaints somewhere else!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to Tommy and the crew for another GREAT night at TSS.:31::22:

Re: MSCS @ TSS still a go for Saturday
that was an awesome race!! Congrats to Kyle Cummins on his 1st win at TSS!! as stated earlier quality over quantity anyday...

Re: MSCS @ TSS still a go for Saturday
Some of the things you read on here is just unbelievable. When you have 5 of the top 10 drivers in USAC national sprint standings (including #1 and #2 JS and Levi) plus a few other names like Brady Short, Chase Stockon, and that guy how won tonight your not going to see much complaining. Well, until you get on here and see people talk about quality of show sitting in their house.
Anyways, great job by Kyle Cummins. He beat the best in the business tonight. |

Give me 16 non-wing sprintcars any day. Living in the land of Tin Cans (Tennessee Late Models) I only manage to see a couple non-wing shows a year with one of those being Funfest. Been fortunate this year to catch 3 USCS 360 shows in the area but really miss the non-wing action.

Re: MSCS @ TSS still a go for Saturday
Great job Kyle, keep it up.

In the interest of counter-acting some of the negativity, kudos to Tommy's crew for giving us a night of racing on a wickedly hot evening when a lot of tracks threw in the towel. They also get props for thinking of the fans in giving out the free water.
The racers also deserve credit for putting on a clean program. I didn't count, but I bet there weren't ten total yellow flags the whole evening. (both divisions combined.) I thought it was a pretty nice turnout of fans, given the 104 degree weather at hot laps, only 37 total cars in the pits, and NASCAR being at Kentucky. |
Re: MSCS @ TSS still a go for Saturday
Congrats to the 3c team! Its been a long time coming but the way Kyle has been running this year I have a feeling it won't be his last. Hope to see him financially able to run ISW this year in its entirety :22:

Re: MSCS @ TSS still a go for Saturday
Great show, and great racing. I was 15 miles north of the track and the sign said 105 , it was hot. As usual though Tom and the crew put together a great show.:6:
As for Kyle, it was great to see him win that one. He just ran off and hid. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8159/7...9ffa85db_b.jpg IMG_6905 copy by uncloose1, on Flickr |
