Just for Fun
IF you had unlimited funds and could start a race team with 2 drivers, who would they be. Also, what kind of cars? Would you follow a particular series or just run wherever whenever? Who would you have build your motors? Remember, unlimited funds. I know we did this a while back, just interesting to see what everybody says.

Re: Just for Fun
Without a doubt, I would hire Steve and Sammy and run the World of Outlaws tour. I would use Maxim cars with Charlie Fisher motors.
|
Re: Just for Fun
I would hire Shane Cottle and Danny Schwartz (Modified guy from my home town) and they would be Beast Gaerte Silver Crown cars... Danny's talked about loving the chance to go run a SC car...
|
At first I was gonna go non wing with DD and Stanbrough but on second thought, I would take Steve Kinser and Joey Saldana and do the WoO deal. I would love to travel all over the country and see all the different tracks they race on. I'd use Maxims with whatever motors they're using now. Don't fix it if it aint broke!

Dose any other sport CHARGE the PRETISIPATES to play.......name of the series would be OWOW...Outlaws With Out Wings or TOO...The Original Outlaws...The Series would have 5 areas...South East..North East...Mid West and West Coast...all regional events all pay the same....you will have a points system but NO POINT FUND instead the top 10 of each region would get an invite a to the National Finals .... 50 cars racing for $50,000.00 to win and $1,000.00 to start....$500.00 tow money (rest of the field)...there would be ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY NO :21: PROVISIONALS PERIOD!!!!!!!:22: |

Dave Steele & Tracy Hines in IndyCar.:6:

Re: Just for Fun
One of my recent fantasies is to be a multi millionaire and buy Oswego Speedway, have no mortgage on the track, have unlimited funds to make the improvements to the facility that I feel are needed and most importanly increase the purses for all events held at the track. The only way I see to increase car counts in any racing division is with higher purses spread through out the field not just paying more to win.
Then if I still had lots and lots of money left over I would provide Davey Hamilton with a full time Indy car ride. Patti |
Re: Just for Fun
I would put myself in a non wing 410 sprint car
|
Would run full usac sprint schedule with Kevin Swindell and Casey Shuman. It would be a Sled chassis with Foxco power on the dirt. Beast on the pavement. And of course I would run a 3rd car for myself!

Tracy Hines Brad Sweet all 3 usac divisons dirt and pavement plus a 410 winged for Brad .

Re: Just for Fun
I would have Daron Clayton and Robert Ballou drive monster trucks......
|
Re: Just for Fun
Darren and Shane Stewart on the ASCS National Tour
|
Re: Just for Fun
Tony Jones and Rickie Gaunt running a pair of DRCs (and two back ups) with Shaver power on the USAC National tour.
|
Re: Just for Fun
Bryan Clausan and Kenny Niflis. The latter has the youth and talent, he just needs a ride. Put 'em in WoO with Maxims. Just dreamin' unless I win powerball some day!:2::22:

Re: Just for Fun
Unlimited Funds??? Two Drivers?? That's easy.
Drivers: Josh Spencer and either Dave Darland or Dickie Gaines Chassis: DRC Engines: One of the following 3.... Claxton, Fisher or foxco |
Re: Just for Fun
i would buy usac and fix it.
|
Re: Just for Fun
I would have Josh Spencer or Steve Irwin drive for me. Maxim Chassis. Nice tow rig - comfy. Open trailer so the kids can see the car when driving down the road. Engines not sure who there. Above all we have fun racing no being upset because the setup was missed. No NAPCAR owener s going to call about driving for them. Don't sweat the small stuff, have fun.

Re: Just for Fun
Had to think about this one for a while! :11:
Chassis and engines were the easy part. Chassis-Dave Ellis Engines-Don Ott But who to drive? Sure,Darland,Coons,Stanbrough or the like couldn't miss. But then I thought (again with the thinking,my head hurts!)"Wait it's unlimited funds, right? Why not pick a couple of young guns?"If they tore something up,you could just write another check, right? So I'd pick: Zach Sawyers-2009 ASCA Champ Justin Quinn- 2009 AMMA 600cc Champ, currently in the running for ASCS Canyon division Rookie of the year. Where to race-All summer in Indiana, winter shows out West. Enough with the thinking for now,Gonna take an Aleve and lay down! Joe |

Love to dream about this. First call the Hockett family to see about running the numbers 75 and 13 in tribute to Jesse. The Hire Blake Fitzpatrick and Bud Keading both gassers the way I like to watch sprint cars. Race at all USAC sprint car events. When they are not running race anywere there was a race. Then build a track at home to practice on. We would run DRC with Claxton Power. After that get Sprint Week paying 10,000 a night like it should be! That would be the life!!!!! :27:
|
Re: Just for Fun
:8:Daron Clayton and Kyle Cummins and a 3rd car for Kevin Thomas Jr DRC;s with Claxton power run USAC MSCS whatever we wanted to run and hire ol Bub to oversee all teams
