How about if races were done early enough so that fans could go into the pits when the races are over?

It has been several years since I visited, but Devil's Bowl in Dallas did something similiar every night. At the end of the last main event as the winner of the last feature was getting the victory lane photos, they would put the main event winners from the rest of the night on the front straightaway. Fans could go on to the track and interact with the drivers and cars on the front straight away.
It was good recogninition for the main event winners, and it was a good chance for photo oppurtunites for the fans. Of course, the layout of the track helped because they pitted in the infield and you had to cross the track to go to the pits. If done at the end of the night, no issues. However, do not add anything to drag these shows out even more. |
