It was a 1/10 mile concrete surface. Evel Kneivel made a jump there once. Wasn't there but remember hearing about it.

Jeff Gordon also. Went off the backstretch during an Allstar show in three went airborne hit the ground and a light pole at the same time and took out the lighting. The gokart track was running also and it knocked out their electric also.

Seen a show here in the early 80's but do not beleive it was USAC sanctioned. Very tight about the same as the Nutter Center if anyone saw those shows in the 90's. Only time I got to see my Dad drive a midget and he was hustlin around the Gardens pretty good.
