I was like the other poster I do go to watch the racing not just the sprint cars. Yes I do go for the sprint cars but I also like to watch the modifieds. Been to some hornet racing in the past and to tell you the truth I rather watch street stocks. I know I will be getting beat up for that comment but its true.

JMHO, but the way I read it, there will be 4 divisions for 2011, rules for Sprints, Modifieds and Stocks will stay the same, but the Hornet rules are now posted, I think that's the way it will be, I'm sure Mike just wanted to get the Hornet rules out, so people would know what they will be. I'd say by the time he gets the schedule, for 2011 posted, all will be in order. Bob :8:

Don't they use ump rules, maybe they don't have spec track rules for them?

He had to do something to help the back gate. There were a bunch of nights that there were one(sprints) or maybe 2 B mains especially the 2nd half of the year.

If you will go to the Bloomington Speedway website, and across the top are all the things to look at, click on rules, and it opens up to the rules section for the Sprints, the UMP modifieds, and the Superstocks, all from 2010, which I take it to mean they will probably change very little, then on the home page, you can click on the Hornets, and get their rules for 2011, a new class at Bloomington, I'm not having any issues understanding it, like someone else said, when the top starts to give out, you brace it up from the bottom, Hornets are bringing in the "pine knots", and that keeps the doors open. Sheesh!:15: Bob

Some can't see the forrest for the trees. More tracks have been adding additional classes in order to keep the doors open. Promoters aren't exactly making millions and the bottom line is either add classes, up ticket and pit pass prices or go out of business. A number of posters on here I guess still don't see the economic situation of the present. If adding classes keeps a track open, I can live with it. I have found that many times the "undercard" provides equal or better entertainment than the "headliner".

Not to mention the payout for the Hornets is low and cost effective. Pays 100 to 125 to win

Mike, thanks for your reply, we have been living in a "make believe world", and people seem to be spoiled, there are several tracks running 6 and sometimes 7 divisions, just to keep going, this world does not revolve around only Sprint cars, or Late models, or modifieds, or any ONE division, yes, at one time it was "centered" on maybe 2-3 divisions, hell' bell's, 6 or 7 years ago, they couldn't run modifieds and sprints together, there were too many of them, to get it all in, in one night. Folks might as well get used to it, wishing it, ain't gonna make it happen, you will still have to go and support the RACE TRACKS, and if you don't like what else they are running, besides your "favorite" bit of entertainment, find out when your chosen division will be running, and go watch them, and leave, the promoter already has your money, he could care less if you stay or not, but he'd rather you did, because you just might visit the concessions stand, and that will add to his bottom line, and help him stay open. I don't get it, it is what it is, get used too it, go learn something new, and appreciate the fact that someone will stick their neck out, to provide you entertainment, shopping centers are always looking for space to build on, look at FairOaks Mall, in Columbus, guess where the Fair, in FairOaks came from, there was a real nice, big fairgrounds, with 2 very nice race tracks there, that's just one example. :15: Bob
