Re: V.C.S Thoughts....
I was there all night till the rain shorten the final tin feature with a few laps to go. If you came to see just the sprint cars then you would of been heading home well before 10 if it hadn't rained and near 10 when it rained.
I did notice that at the end of the sprints that not very many people left to go home. Sorry you fellt that you were kept too long for the sprints. If you left after the sprints you should of got home early. Yes 5 classes of 30 cars each is to many, but I'm sure Joe Spiker will address that issue if running 4 classes after the sprints makes for a late nite. Look for many more sprints this coming week with no USAC race. Congrats to all at VCS who made it happen, no bad for their first nite of racing, it will only get better. D.O. ps We expect to have videos available this coming weekend with all classes, 15.00 at the track. I will be in the tower outside of turn 1 and in the pits till hotlaps. Stop by the HHR in the pits and say Hi. D.O. :checkered: |
Re: V.C.S Thoughts....
We competed at VCS last year one time and the track was much rougher than it is this year. The Track was fast and smooth. I wish to congratulate the group at VCS for taking the time to visit each Pit Stall to thank the teams for coming and being a part of the event. There was close racing in all corners and the viewing of the track is very fan friendly from the grandstands and the pits. You are right on top of the action in the Pits. The Sprint Director Kyle Clearwater(?), Jerry Coons, Jr's Father in Law spent plenty of time with his Sprint Car teams and listened intently if there was an issue. This was a really nice feature at VCS as well; some of the teams, ours included arrived early to the show and were allowed to pull into the pits, find a spot, set up and then when the 3:00 hour arrived, we were asked to go to the Pit Shack to pay our fees. That is a GREAT feature of this track. :applaud:You can be preparing for the nights event in advance. There are a couple of "bugs" to work out but this is a new group and for the first time, I believe they did an excellent job. It could have been much worse for sure. They cannot control the weather so that made for some quick decisions that eventually worked themselves out. We really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to returning. I believe all divisions were pretty "Racey" as well. It is a pretty nice place. Thanks VCS Staff.

Re: V.C.S Thoughts....
Anyone complaining about too many classes when all the heats for all classes were run off in an hour, In my opinion is just looking for something to ***** about.
