I'm a completely unknowlegdeable idiot when it comes to how to prep a track and I know they did the best they possibly could. I also thought the bleachers were extremely tight and in need of replacement. I'm still going back , but given the choice of spending 3 days in the fine state of indiana , I'd pick TSS or lawrenceburg ,or Bloomington
I love the smackdown at kokomo and if tss and the burg had a 3 day show it would make alot of racing fans very happy.

I'd love to see a multi day event at haubstadt. That place is awesome and I like multi day events with no travel. I make the 3 1/2 - 4 hour drive down there several times a year and it's always worth it, and the drive would be that much more worth it for multiple races. I don't know if it will ever happen but we can always hope.

Lawrenceburg would be a fun but dangerous place for multi day deal. We'd all go broke at the casino during the day

There is nothing I would love more than a 2-3 day sprint show at Haubstadt. World of Outlaw and non-wing combo, or a Short Track Nationals type event.

There's always the debate of outlaws vs USAC and which is the better show. I say someone slates a night with both sanctioning bodies on the card. Of course the promoter will have some very expensive sanctioning fees but should be able to charge a sizable gate price to watch a show of that caliber.

Hard to remember all the stuff cuz of age lol I;m sure the beer had nothing to do with it
Jim,

That was when Thrust Industries was a sponsor. You are correct; the sprint cars and late models had 100 lap features on separate weekends. Back in the day, TSS ran special races several times a year, usually scheduled around a holiday. They ran 50 lappers for the stock cars (they were called hobby cars then) and 100 lappers for sprints. Cliff Cockrum won a lot of those 100 lap features, and Gene "Pappy" Henson was a regular contender in his Buick powered sprinter.

It takes me almost 14 hours to get 725 miles back home to northern Michigan after ISW and its the only race I see at TSS a year........but hell for a 3 day show I'll be there. Great facility and great racing......what the hell why not!!

I'd love to see even a two-day show but if it hasn't happened by now I don't think it will but it could happen so we can keep the door open on it. These ideas are great and it's always fun to talk about how to risk someone else's money. Sounds like Congress.

You can always number the seats and presale tickets.......it gives the owner an idea of the interest. Sign me up for two tickets......I'm in.
