where can i get info on ecotec motors? i'm looking for bore center line of the 2.4, 2.2 and 2.0 blocks. what cranks fit what block. will a 2.4 crank fit in a 2.0 block? can a 2.4 head fit on a 2.2...

we'll have to see what the new D2 engine rules are. but with the way the rules are now you could build a badger engine that is not D2 legal.

what i know of the new badger rule is you are not allowed to port and polish the head. you can buy after market parts like valves, springs, cams, rods and pistons. no titanium.

we all know that the new rules are to save money. some clubs want to swap parts to make more hp. and save money compared to the purpose built motors. nobody is saying that if KKM ran an eco tec motor...

what does everyone think about being able to swap parts? like 2.0 head 2.2 block and 2.4 crank. and still be 2.4 displacement. i don't really like it. it takes away from the stock 2.4 motor.

7/8/15, 11:18 PM
what is the engine layover? is the 2.4 still in production? if not maybe go up to the 2.5. maybe allow high compression pistons and better rods the rest stays stock.
