As I was leaving Sunday out the front gate, I was thanked by Chris for attending. They deserve all the thanks we can give for working so hard to keep the show going.
Those are the two I make the most calls to in Kokomo. I would not stay at either. I would gladly pay a little more, my type of clients stay at these two.
Would love to hear the other side of the story. Give the fans a reason to walk by the area of t shirts and stuff will make them walk by the gift shop/concessions. Has to help in the tracks sales.
Just a quick note on area hotels...Motel 6 and Garden Inn are generally the only hotels we make routine calls to. The Garden Inn is better than Motel 6...however lots of our clientell stay at both. ...
Cant take anything through the gates into the track, but camping is free in the lot. Out by the big grain barn in the grass lot is a popular place for tents, campers, and RV's.
Plenty of good seats at Kokomo. Pits is kinda hard to see the cars in your turn when they are up on the wall. Backstretch gives you a good perspective of the exit of turn 2. Frontstretch up high...
Kokomo announces them as they are pushed out and of course with the mini hot laps thats going on you can't hear a darn thing. Only time I hear an announcer at a track is during the tractor parades....
