On a positive note at least Smoke didn’t send a negative tweet about the guy rather than smack him. That would have been behavior “detrimental to the sport” and possibly resulted in suspension.
Vermilion county fairgrounds on state road 63 about 30 miles north of Terre Haute. The old wooden covered grandstands were burned down. They replaced it with NICE metal covered grandstand. ...
Not really a new thing. Back in 2000 the same thing happened to me personally. A clean break on the weld all the way around the wheel (real racing was the brand that got me)
On a "modern" champ car what is the engine location from center of rear axle to rear motor plate? Also what width front axle, and what is the wheelbase most cars now are running?
If in fact tonight is rained out it is because of the action tracks scheduled late model race. That track seems to be rain magnet. Maybe rain will strike there and spare LPS
I love racing Jsr7s! Indiana racing preferably of the non wing variety although I do attend some wing races and enjoy them as well. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go read some ascs driver...
I know this really isn't a big deal but it drives me crazy to see 10 or 12 threads regarding ASCS sprint cars on the 1st page of IOW. Has there ever even been an ascs race in Indiana!!! Rant over
Wow!! I was expecting to read about a crappy track surface or dust bowl but freaking blankets and chairs. I think 23rd to 1st finish should have made up for your blanky. I for one am sick of all...
I had the pleasure of racing there once. The banking was incredibly steep. They tried to start the cars going down an equally steep gravel hill, then thought better and rolled the cars down the hill...
USAC is the problem and will never be any more than it already is. A WOO non wing series or a new series ran similarly is the only way to make non wing more relevant.
