Re: Looking for a arias/ Fontana p

You might consider an inquiry with JE. They have supplied Duggan/Fontana/Arias pistons in the past.
The set that I have is 4.030, but the pin height is 1.050.

Re: Looking for a arias/ Fontana p

Mark,

Is that boat ever going to get wet again? Engines and parts are available, just not that specific piston.

Re: Robert Ballou's Comments after Macon

Also in the "Anyone ever consider..." department:

A very obvious infraction, essentially of a long-ago safety nature, is being used as a decoy, a distraction, to divert attention from a more...

Re: ASCS: Brady Baker Disqualified, Fined For Failing Fuel T

!! Very much to the good!

The irony is that it is quite difficult to make a significant performance improvement without going to large doses of nitrogen compounds.
And from Baker's results there...

Re: concerning a recent thread about costs of racing

The use of the word "attended" I understand to mean in-person spectator attendance. Folks in the stands is the only thing that supports mercenary racing.

Sportsman racing, where the participant...

Re: concerning a recent thread about costs of racing

Good to see discussion of this subject. What, if anything, is known of the failure mode(s) that are addressed by this change? Column failure in a roll-over? Transverse failure in a side impact? ...

Re: concerning a recent thread about costs of racing

Thank you Mr. Corky!
Ironically, the cross sectional area of the 1.25-.095 tubing is greater than that of the now required 1.375-.083.

The fishing must be very, very good; you're going to be out on that lake a long, long time considering how large a can of worms you are opening by talking about changes to engine rules!
What reduces...

Re: Robert Ballou's Comments after Macon

1) USAC is in the entertainment business.
2) Mr. Ballou is an entertainer.
3) We have been entertained.
4) Next question.

Re: Lincoln Speedway Midget Track Record Falls to Jones & MA

Was Tanner Thorson's record set in a USAC National Midget, or in a MARA car?
If Thorson's record was in a USAC car, then Jones' record is indeed notable.
The MARA engine must be giving away 100HP...

Re: Need Help with DSR Zero Pump

Is your fuel pump camshaft driven or belt driven? If it is belt driven it could be run at a lower ratio (less than 1/2 speed), so as to reduce the overall flow rates.

The comments about vertical...

Re: Need Help with DSR Zero Pump

A very interesting system indeed. Typical floatless carburetors have a standpipe in the bowl to establish the fuel level, with the exit of the standpipe connected to a scavenge pump. The question...

Re: Midget counts this weekend for Xtreme

For a relative success story in Midgets look to the Badgers.
Why?: A stabilized engine specification of reasonable cost.
