Re: Firemen's Nats

Re: OT: RIP bloomquist

They were running Hav-a-tampa the first year I saw him 89-90ish and he had carbon fiber brakes which cost about ten grand a wheel at the time (Now they're common) and could drive into the corners...

Re: Wine & Cheese vs. Beer & Brat

That would be running a Morgan Plus4 for a trophy......

I love...

Re: OT: RIP bloomquist

A true "Icon" in every sense of the word.

I never ever followed Late Model racing until a friend of mine who was a crew member during the "Have A Tampa" era would rave about Scott. This was in the...

Re: Springfield time trials

I am torn on the issue. When there are large numbers of cars for the supporting classes it can lead to a very long show. Long shows puts you in peril for weather..... Group qualifying is kind of a...

Re: Knoxville First Timers

Not a wing guy but the excitement around the event is very cool. I really like the fact that the show will equal the hype, and the purse is big league. Marquee events should put money in the victor's...

Re: Usac: Entry list: Jennerstown’s usac silver crown debut

Only 18 cars? Wow, I think that is pretty thin..... it has never really recovered from the "car of tomorrow" or whatever that "thing" was called.

Re: Bloomington

Only made it to three this year but all were excellent races. LPS, Terre Haute and Bloomington (twice!) Dealing with Indiana 39 in the dark was a tough deal for my 62 year old eyes! I swear it would...

Haven't the subdivisions been ******** about the track for 20 years?

Well yes. And the price of poker has gone up as the homes get more and more "ornate" shall we say. From acorns grow mighty...

Re: Terre Haute Action Track Thursday August 1, 2024 Sprint

Robert put on quite a show. The top row of two sections behind me were going bonkers! It was pretty cool to watch him throw caution to the wind. He got into a couple of tank slappers coming off 4...
