Re: It’s back!

Went to my first in 1983. Have only missed 1984 since. A lot of people don't like the wing cars. I like them better than the years with modifieds or late models. I did like the old USAC Stock Cars. I...

Re: Anyone at Montpellier?

And Gas City was more of a proven product than Montpelier, open wheel wise. Was easier access at Gas City.

Re: BC39 Info for 2024

I was just talking at Haubstadt about this race. I think it is a bargain. I bought 2 tickets and 1 parking pass for all 3 nights. Me and my buddy split the cost. It works out to $85 each for 3...

Re: 9/14/2024 - Montpelier Speedway Results

Glad they had a good show and a good crowd. I doubt they have the capacity to do a USAC sprint/midget doubleheader. That would need a big crowd to cover costs. Tough to do on a Thursday in September.

Re: Smackdown thoughts

My SmackDown thoughts. I had no problem with the track prep all 3 nights. It had a top and bottom all 3 nights. The top was not clear to the wall, because the track had a real cushion. If the top was...

Re: Knoxville First Timers

Thanks. If he had that kind of spot,I am sure he did real good. Only watched on TV. I thought Wednesday and Thursday were real good shows. Saturday was a little bit of a snoozer, but those guys...

Re: Kinser…the book

Like all Dave Argabright books, this should be good. I think Steve Kinser is someone a lot of us want to hear more about.

Re: Usac: Jennerstown usac silver crown results: Aug 10, 202

I agree that it wasn't much of a race. Not every baseball game ends 3 to 2. I will be at Gateway Friday. Yes, I am hoping for a few more cars, but only if they are quality. Start and park will not...

Re: Knoxville First Timers

I know at regular World of Outlaw shows that guys like Brady can't sell merchandise. Are they allowed to at Knoxville? The sport will never be able to support every group paying that kind of money....

"Merrillville Al Longiny"

Sadly, we lost Merrillville Al Last night after a hard fought battle with cancer. For those of you who were able to talk to him at Putnamville a month ago. He really enjoyed it. He is not having a...

Have fun. The Pizza place just south of the Dingus is really good, as is the rib shack.

Re: My Mom always said

I also had a good time at Putnamville. Thought the track was good both nights. It was pouring when we got there on Friday, and they got it in. Thanks for driving Al down. It was great to see him, and...

Re: What has happened to POWRi?

This is a perfect example of over saturation in the wing cars. If I was going to create a successful series,I would want at least 20 teams that are looking for a place to race. You can't just keep...

Re: Robert Ballou's Comments after Macon

The key word is apparently. Just because a coach whines about a call in a ball game, doesn't mean he is right. Since you brought up that this is classic Ballou style, what has that done for him? Has...

Re: Robert Ballou's Comments after Macon

I am amazed after Robert's great run in a really good feature that this is what people are talking about. What about that race? As good as I have seen all year. Bacon and Ballou had an intense...

Re: How do they survive

Indiana tracks by law cannot sell alcohol, and allow it to be carried in. It creates a tough call for promoters. Hardcore fans like to bring coolers, but you need more than the hardcore fans to...

Re: Usac: Tuesday's circle city usac imw opener rained out

I was on my way to the track, when I got a call telling me it was cancelled. We got hit by some really heavy rain just before we got to Tipton. We drove in it for 10 minutes. Got a call. Turned...

Re: RIP Former Eldora & Gas City Promoter Jerry Gappens

First met Jerry in the 90's when I worked at Kokomo Speedway with his parents. A really good guy. Just talked to him at Eldora earlier in the month. My thoughts are with his family and friends. RIP...

Re: Fan interaction with drivers & teams….. Thoughts on thi

One of the big appeals to our sport in getting to interact with the drivers. If we lose that we lose the sport. Big time drivers can make more money off merch than they can racing. Plus, you can blow...

Re: Macon has new Owners - Kenny Brown (POWRi) & Eric Turner

Hope they continue to build on what the team did last year. I will be there for USAC sprints in July. Heck of a show last year.

Re: Usac: Kokomo grand prix shifts to saturday-sunday, april

The radar was right. It is done now. Going to be windy. That will speed up drying.
