Re: Knoxville First Timers

Bare minimum numbers are way too low. Brady's non-wing stuff was a hot item at Knoxville along with some new style wing shirts he had.

Re: Springfield time trials

I was at Knoxville all week and didn't see half the fans missing qualifying while drinking at their RVs. Be curious where you came up with this stat. Now grant you at Knoxville you could change it to...

Victory Lane at Macon has been in the same spot...

Victory Lane at Macon has been in the same spot for quite a while now. I know it’s disappointing to some but no USAC/ Flo conspiracy on this one.

Re: Robert Ballou's Comments after Macon

Ballou thinks everyone should mount their weight up high in center of car.

I have no idea if the teams cheated or not as I wasn't there to see it. I'm not a member of the "I read it on the...

Re: World of Outlaw Programs and Ticket Stubs

Next time I go through my storage unit I'll try to find some for you. I have several early 80s programs and a few stubs. You can have what i find as I know they will be taken care of and appreciated....

Re: Lessons on Promotion

I'm not anti-gambling but when the "riverboat" casinos starting establishing into many states it destroyed any extra entertainment budget many people had. Many things besides racing were affected....

Re: USAC New Rules

More weight never helps things improve velocity. It also has a worse effect on stopping velocity.

What helps on dry slick tracks is understanding your shock package and purchasing new tires.

Re: Another 🐐has passed

Was on a race trip with Tom Corbin somewhere in the late 70s and we hung out with Mr. Ferkel quite a lot on the trip. Didn't cross his path much the rest of his career but he left a strong...

Re: Landon Crawley joins Sides Motorsports & WOO rookie in 2

I'm pretty excited about it. Landon is a good kid and a fine racer just like his underrated father Crawdaddy.

He's not going to be any worse in Jason's car than Robbie Price was last season in...

Saw somewhere it's possible Tanner Holmes will join Jacob Allen as a second Shark Racing entry following High Limit series.

Wonder how much High Limit benefit package is worth compared to WoO...

Re: Usac: Turkey night grand prix usac midget results: Nov.

Sprint cars ran there last few years during Turkey night and the track was fine. Last year was one of the best surfaces you will see for a midget. Epic battle between Grant and Thorson.

25MPH...

Re: High Limit Buys All Star Circuit of Champions.

I wonder if High Limit getting Skagit Speedway and the Gold Cup at Chico cancels the WoO making their way to the west coast after Knoxville Nationals. Last year WoO was at Skagit Labor Day weekend...

Re: What would it take for USAC to be as big as the WOO?

This idea lost any chance of succeeding on April 23rd 1978. It gave Ted Johnson the opening he needed and he took great advantage of it.

Tony Stewart and Kasey Kahne tried to make non-wing racing...

Think it came down to these two things.

Grant lost his crew chief, called Jeff Walker, and got better as they went along. Brady lost his crew chief and never really overcame the small mechanical...
