I definitely think you would get a better car count if Terre Haute was the first race of Sprint week. If I remember correctly it’s always the 1st or 2nd race of the second week.

One of the best state fairs I’ve ever been to. Not too big, but just big enough to walk the grounds, See the attractions and eat a bunch of fair food! And always a race to be see!

I often wonder how many people would have handled going to sprint car races in the 50’s, 60’s and early 70’s. The norm back then was 20-25 cars entered and USAC only started 14 cars in the feature ....
