Your best sources for USAC event updates are Twitter/Facebook. You probably won't get ice cream info but you will get continuous updates.

So what's the deal with the lights on the rear of the cage on Courtney's car and who is Brady Short now driving for?

That was the Safety Light system that USAC said it was going to be using on all cars in midgets, sprints and champs. They're green under green and yellow under yellow.

I also noticed that it went from three lights when he was third, to one light when he took the lead.

I assume they were testing it again as I don't know if it's been tried since Florida Sprint openers.

I asked the question just last week about the system that they said was going to be used on every car last winter in this post

OK, but you should be able to read, but not post, on either without membership...or become a member without cost. With Eastern Storm coming up there may be no IOW member on site able, or willing to update. Give it a try next week. There are other racing sites, some with continuous updates for national, but not local, series
