Someone felt they needed out Hoosier Fall Classic Banner more than we did and took it this weekend. Its normally not a big deal for me, but this banner was over 20 years old and has sentimental value to us, Mel Johnson had the banner made back in the 80's and his son who died years ago name was on the back of it (Tony's Dream)
This banner was big and has been updated over time with newer logo and such. If anyone knows anything about this banner please have them return it A.S.A.P.
I am not looking to charge anyone for taking it, we just want it back...please
Thanks, Dave Rudisell

Sure the wind didn't take it a mile down the street somewhere? If someone did take it. Thats just sad.

I am sure of that, I can understand someone taking it, people take banners all the time. The problem is that it was a very special banner and we are tore up about it. Please please please, if anyone knows anything about the banner please have them return it to the track, they can just put it inside the fence and leave. Or anyone who knows about it will recieve a reward, no questions asked.
Thanks

Yep Chuck, we are POSITIVE that the wind storm did not take it! Personally speaking, people KNOW what banners that are hanging up that SHOULD NOT BE MESSED AROUND WITH!

Dave,
I saw the banner when I walked in Saturday and wondered about the "Tony's Dream" written on the back.
I hope you get it back The sentimental value is priceless, but even without this these things are expensive to replace.

you might want to post something on hoseheads about this, since more wing fans frequent that board.

When Mel Johnson promoted the track his son Tony always wanted to have a 2 day Hoosier Fall Classic and Mel would'nt do it. After Tony passed away at a very young age, Mel had a two day show and labeled the back of the banner (Tony's Dream). Mel passed the banner on to me to use. I am really sickened by the fact that it was taken, after what Mel has done for me and the speedway.
Take care, Dave

Dave,

Was this the one hanging on the fence by the entrance? If so it was still there when I left shortly after talking to you when you received your 2009 calender about 1:15am. If so it must have been taken overnight. That's all I have.
