Just seen this interview of Robin Miller talking to Tony Stewart about retiring from NASCAR and returning to dirt. Talks about Sprints, Modifieds, Late Models, Midgets, ect
No that would suck not because of tony but because of the nascar fans that would come just because he is there.look at the chilli bowl a lot go to see the nascar guys.good example midget 89's post (no offense just using as an example)he would go if tony was there but he won't go other wise? Sorry I am biased to the little 500 it is a great race!
But, that's why Tony goes to these events. Like him or hate him, he generally fills the stands. It's his attempt to introduce NASCAR fans to real racing, and at the same time, tap into their pocketbooks for the benefit of the venue and that segment of the sport.

Bill
I here what your saying but in case you have never been to the little 500 attendance is not a problem and never has been!
From what I can tell listening to him and those around him he goes to small venues (or used to go) because he has fun. I don't think it has anything to do with bringing new fans or selling tickets, he simply does it because he enjoys racing.

I know he's a great racer and most do. However, Another season like last year and he'll be in the Bobby, Terry Labonte and other former champs category. Former superstar but not in the spotlight.
