This is a fully "built" BMARA legal Ford Duratec car (#15 Black) battling against a 1000cc Yamaha R1 (Yellow) chain driven car at Angell Park Speedway in 2015. The 1000cc ended up second and the Ford Duratec finished third. The winner was running a Fontana midget engine. The BMARA has gone to a production based engine rule for 2016 which was voted on by the BMARA general membership at a meeting a couple months ago. No purpose built engines will be allowed in 2016.

What did they say about the Motorcycle powered cars? I wonder how that new little 2.5 Ford motor would do? Can you imagine how close the competition would be on a little smaller slower race track?
