2024 Season: Race 1 - April 20th Brownstown (Crate LM). Unlike many I don't discriminate on what racing I choose to watch.

Pretty much spot on.....some of the ideas are out but if most dirt tracks would do even 1/4 of the ideas, they would be in great shape.

It must be an Indiana thing that sprint cars pack the track. They make it sound like the SC are divas and never pack it, it is quite the opposite in Indiana, lol. #5 should also include a car wash discount for the racers, washing race cars twice a weekend adds up even if you do it at home!

Sprint Cars almost never pack the track back here in the east.

This is spot on. Most indian tracks do some of these things. It looks like a recipe for great fan and racer experience. Hopefully some of these things can be used to improve the racing experience.

Big write up in Circle track about this track and promoters a little while ago. I really don't like them coining the name "Action Track" but what the hey? One of their big claims to fame is the invention of "Speedsters" I think. "Speedsters" are their own form of DII Midgets with USAC sanctioning (reads good Insurance for the racers) a Spec chassis >>spec Dodge Neon Motors>>Spec Tire and the Pauch Family as the drawing card for the Midget series. I think the old man also races and the drama was between him and his son I think the old man ended up winning the championship the last race of the season by just a few points. Don't get any better than that, scripted>>>MAY be??

I don't think I could think of 80 something things to do all at one time but according to the write up they re-invented the whole concept of racing being entertainment for the fans in the stands and the fans doing the racing.

Food for Thought and a very good read.

I know what you mean about the Action Track name, I still call the place Kutztown.

Rich Tobias is the creator of the Speedsters and Slingshots. I got up to Kutztown once last year and I think they had 145 cars on a Wednesday night with the addition of the wingless 600cc micros. Great program and they were done before 10:30PM.

David

Big improvement over Kutztown don't you think? I can think of all kinds of words that rhyme with that. And I guess they don't have a copyright on "Action Track". If you can do them numbers on a Wednesday night you got to be doing something right. How well did the Speedsters perform?
