All Star Circuit Of Champions has been sold. A high profile racer, well know in the sprint cat world has purchased the series. That's all I will say at this time. A press release will be out in about a week.
This is per the "Dirt Racing Wrap-Up" Facebook page.
Thanks to a PM from an IOW member (will not reveal name since I was asked not to) I can say with an absolute guarantee Tony Stewart is the new owner of the All Star Sprints. Look for a press release from Eldora Promoter Roger Slack in about the next week and it including the Renegades tour folding into the All Stars.
If this is true, what great news. Smoke and Slack will not lack in the operations and promotion of the series. What an awesome year for (winged) Sprint Car racing in the Midwest. All-Stars (with Renegades?), National Sprint League, and MOWA.
Mr. Dobson, any chance All-Stars will be added back to May 15?

My guess is that Jacksonville Speedway is pretty far down the list or priorities right now of whoever owns or is going to own the All Stars. Of course the first thing we need to hear is a change of leadership. Let's wait for some official announcements and let them get started on a schedule, determine their preferred geography, and we'll see if there's space in their plans for a trip to Illinois that weekend. All I hear is rumors. I like the rumors I hear, but let's wait on some facts.
