I just purchased my first lightning sprint. I have come from the open wheel world but these things are completely different. I need to try and find a base non-wing set up.
I have a 04 ERC GSXR1000 coil front, torsion rear. Double adj rear shocks and single adjustable fronts.
I am trying to figure out what to start at and I can go from there i.e wheel spacing ride heights, spring and torsion rates. If someone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
Thank you
Reece

Get hold of Andy or Scott Bradley over at Hoosier Speed Shop. They should be the ERC go to guys and can probably furnish you with what you need to go racing.

Reece,
Well worth the money is the "Mini Sprint/Micro Sprint Chassis Technology" book by Steve Smith. It's available online from many places. I suggest Speedpartz.com. It'll get you pointed in the right direction. Bars depends on many different variables. Such as weight, wing or not, track conditions and size, among other things. ERCs are good cars. Good luck!

I also highly recommend Mini the Sprint/Micro Sprint Chassis Technology book had it every week. Used it for wing racing and non wing racing. We are also going to try the sprint car book this year for 305's.

And for advanced study his book on Midget set up with Jimmy Sills is much better than the mini sprint book. I loaned my copy of the Mini Sprint book to a guy 20 years ago up at Chillicothe Ohio and he never did give it back to me.
