Papa Louie died peacefully in his sleep this morning at St. Joesph hospital in Kokomo, In. Arrangements are pending and I will post on here when they are set.

Sad news indeed, great racer fun guy to be around and a true friend to many. Rest in peace Louie.

From all of us at Halfmoon Spencer racing #66j

What a great driver Louie was. I remember him in the Orange colored sprinter racing Kokomo and Warsaw. If I remember right and I may be wrong, but wasn't Louie the first to win a race on Thursday Night Thunder? I believe it was an Illinois track.

Not the first to win on Thursday Night Thunder, but he did win a heat race at Santa Fe Speedway on Thursday Night Thunder back in 1987.

RIP Louie!

RIP Louie. My Dad knew him from truck driving, and when I was a kid he used to wave to us on the backstretch when he was driving for Paul Hazen.

RIP Louie. He was responsible for TP going sprint car racing. Terry was with Louie going to a track and when they got there Louie said TP could hot lap the car and he was hooked... Raced many years after that... Louie will be missed by many.
