Hey guys, here is some In-Car Cam of Brad Stevens hot lapping at Lawrenceburg last night (7/26/08) shortly before a heavy storm washed the evening out. This is the first "In-Car" video I've gotten of the new configuration at the Burg. Video runs just under 5 min and goes from push off to the trek back to the trailer.

His left front got very close to the other car's right rear there one of those laps. That does look cool, sure wish i could climb in a car and take a few hundred hot laps.

Tim, I didn't realize how close Brad came to wadding up another one until I saw the video!!!!!!! I honestly wish I could give every fan a ride. It's such a thrill to give someone their first opportunity. I guarantee you, that once someone gets to fire one up and take a few laps, they never watch a race the same way again. When I ran Lawrenceburg, occasionally, I would bring the car down on a Sunday and let a few friends take a spin before I graded the track. Forever after that, they had new found respect for those guys running at the back as well as, the front. It really changes how you feel about and, watch the sport when you have first hand knowledge of what it feels like inside a sprint car!

Thanks, Gregg. I'm hoping to get some video of some actual racing in the near future. The weather didn't cooperate last night!

For my Dad's 60th birthday we bought him a 10 lap ride with Jack Hewitt in the 2 seater at Gas City. We drove 6 hours to get to the track just for Dad and those 10 laps. We had 2 video cameras, 1 in the infield and 1 in the grandstand to record it for him. When the ride was over we rushed over to keep the tape rolling for when he got out of the car and that was priceless! We spent a whole day and a lot of gas money but it was all worth it, and beleive me Jack didn't run the car around the tires on the bottom he just about had it sliding off of turn 2 every lap. :checkered:

Hey Tim, we did the same thing for my brother-in-law at the Hoosier Fall classic a few years ago! We surprised him that night. We had Kimb Stewart, announce it over the P.A. system and that was the first he had heard it. Same deal, we taped the whole thing. Dale Blaney drove it and he took no prisoners. It was fun! He'll never forget it.
