According to the Paragon website the two feature rule has been dropped and they will be running one feature paying $1000 to win.

I may misunderstand what the dropping of the "two race rule" means, but I believe it means that to collect the higher prize money offered at special events, the driver must have competed in the two most recent events. They have posted this rule on occasion. I think the rule that provides for two features if over 26 cars or 3 features if over 52 cars are present still applies but only at regular shows. This weeks show, I believe, would be classified as a special event and only one feature will be presented. With the "two race rule" being dropped, whoever wins will be eligible whether or not they have competed previously. It might be helpful for Mr Ford to explain the rule on this forum.

I would think this weekend they should have over 50 sprints the regular cars plus most of P-Villes and if there is only 1 feature then there should be some good racing having to race into a feature

The “2 race rule” definition was that you had to have participated in 2 “Regular Shows” prior to the special event. Since that rule has been lifted/dropped all Sprint drivers and cars and welcome.
Multiple features for Sprint Cars still will be ran on regular show nights which are August 23 and September 20 unless the 12th Annual Stock Car Dirt Nationals scheduled for September 6th is rained out then it will be held on September 20th, with 1 Sprint Feature. |

It seems to me that Paragon is becoming the place to race on Saturdays.
The last few times I have been there the racing has been great, the show runs off quickly, there isn't any STUPID tire rule, no radios/transponders to buy, just good ole fashioned "Run whatcha Brung" racing. :thumb Thanks Keith Ford for giving us a place to race every Saturday night.:respect: |
