It was sometimes a pain in the ass, a ton of work, alot of carrying and planning, but all for a great cause. This has been my laziest Daytona 500 Sunday ever, but i do miss it. Now all we need is a race. God Bless Eleanor and all the hard work she did for so many years.

Eleanor is like your grandmother. You love her more then you could ever put into words, and if she asks for a favor, you can never say no.

So; is that deal no more???
Whatever the case, Rich will never be forgot. I barely got to watch him (studied some tapes AFTER 1990); but think of him almost every day/almost every time I race (always wishing I had as much talent as he did in his pinky). Actually, cleaning some papers last week, found a PRE-www, wiki style "fact sheet" I made up on EVERY attempt he made at the 500... I was always not to normal...lol.

Jason- Thanks for your thoughts on Vogler!
I was fortunate to see him run many times in Midgets-Sprints-Champ Dirt Cars. Best Regards, John |
