It has come to my knowledge that there is quite a bit of personal attacks going on here on this board. My question is why? We are all adults and should be able to have conversations without attacking people. Just for giggles I went and copied the first two rules of this board here they are.

We take this "Be Polite" rule very seriously! We do not tolerate any rudeness. Any member who is intentionally unpleasant or disruptive may be banned without warning.

No personal attacks of any kind against a member, or group of members. Having a difference of opinion is fine, but if it gets out of hand and turns into a fight to get the biggest jab at the other person, then its gone too far.

These are IOWs rules and should be followed out of respect for Bill this board and everyone that uses it.:thumb:respect:

I don't see you complaining when your business partner (Throttlehead) is attacking Mike Miles. Or POWri. Or Tri-State Speedway.

I totally agree! Let's have productive discussions regarding the sport that we all love.

We can agree or disagree as long as we remain respectful of one another.

I didn't attack either of those 3. I am CERTAINLY not going to attack sanctioning bodies or racetracks.

I do not attack, Jerry. Do I question things? Yes I do. If you are going to drag me in on this discussion then please get your facts right. I would REALLY like to know what your problem is with me. Especially seeing how I have not until the Haubstadt thread said anything to you. Perhaps a face to face discussion at your racetrack of choice should clear the air on some things. I am available for discussion at any time. Please seek me out to talk about anything you care to discuss.

And to you Marv.... again I reiterate I had questions and I did not properly phrase them right. I have no animosity nor beef with either Foxco or Jon Stanbrough.

Why can't you people get things straight? It seems all I can get done on here is defend myself from a lot of BS stirred up on here. It's no wonder the vast majority of the people who frequent this board no longer post on here. Yours included. I'm out for good. Cya.

Seems like this might be an opportune time, especially for those of us in this thread, to throw the :checkered: on any past poorly worded or misunderstood posts, some of which I regret making myself. Let's move on. C'mon back Don...it's racing, it's entertainment, not life or death. In other words....what Rob said. :thumb

With that in mind, could I prevail upon you to cut my man Chuck a bit of slack. I agree with the Chuckster on almost nothing:

Not on USAC (best racing on the planet for the past 50 + years IMO),
Not on race formats (I'd leave things pretty much as they are),
Not on ******** (O.K., I'm in the minority here),

But, so what....Chuck doesn't need me to front for him, but the man is a race fan. When his work permits he is at The 'Burg.....or Gas City.....or North Vernon....or wherever. I figure his many years of support afford him the luxury of sharing his opinions here at IOW......wrong, though they may be. ( :wink just joshin' ya Chuck)

Marv, who may have had too many margaritas this evening at El Mariachi and might regret this post in the a.m.

Marv why do you have to drag Josh into this??????? :rolling Never mind I just reread the part about Joshing ya and realized I had taken it way to personal.

Marv are you going to be at the second leg, if so stop by and we can discuss religion or ******** before the races. People take a deep breath and relax. This deal is bigger than any one of us individually but when we stand together we are as big as this thing can get. Marv please do not hate me for being a smart butt. :respect: I am going to start drinking now so I will not remember to regret this in the morning.

Well Mr Gilbert, if you sign back on @ IOW, which we know you will,I have the most ultimate respect for MR. Marv Fish and maybe not the same for Jerry Shaw but with that being said, maybe you need to stand back and look at the whole situation.
Why can't you people get things straight, thats YOUR QUOTE I BELIEVE.
Well lets see:headbang:headbang
