Junction Motor Speedway will host 4th Annual Cornhusker Midget Challenge

Millstadt, IL – Junction Motor Speedway in McCool Junction, NE will be home to the 4th Annual Toyota/TRD Cornhusker Midget Challenge hosted by O’Reilly POWRi presented by Lucas Oil. This will be the third and fourth rounds of the POWRi Toyota/TRD Challenge currently being led by Mike Hess of Petersburg, IL.

The first night of racing will be on Tuesday July 29th, which will include qualifying, heats, semis and a 25 lap A-main. The top four competitors from Tuesdays A-main will be locked into the Wednesday July 30th A-Main. The balance of the field will start again on Wednesday with qualifying, heats, semis and finish with a 40 lap A-Main.

“We are looking forward to having the top midget teams in the country compete at Junction Motor Speedway,” said Delmar Friesen, promoter of Junction Motor Speedway. Competitors will be racing for a $3,000 first place prize on Tuesday night and a $5,000 check for the 40 lap A-Main on Wednesday night.

Californian Danny Stratton won the Tuesday nights preliminary event last year while Ricky Stenhouse Jr. of Olive Branch, MS took home the Cornhusker Cash, Crystal and Chrome on the following night driving the Tony Stewart Racing owned Spike/Hawk-Chevrolet midget.
