Hi
I have tried 2 tachos and no luck so far. One is a tel tac 2 and the other a acewell 1100. Should be a yellow and black wire but doesn't appear to have a signal. I have a power commander 5. Can anyone help please. Andrew |

Tacho/Taco, which is it? Did you get the instructions with the TelTachII? If not, just google them, and one will appear on your screen. Inside are some jumpers, that will make it work with any known setup, so look for the info, and it will tell you where to place the jumper, or, if all else fails, call them, they are the ones to ask. Tried the jumpers first without success. I know which wire should have the signal but it doesn't. If I hook it to one of the coil positives does anyone know if that will work. Don't want to blow it up.

FYI.
Fixed the problem. Hooked the tachometer up to one of the coil wires. Positive side. |

I know on my '08, if you push and hold select when the bike is on, it will switch from mph/Fahrenheit to kph/Celsius and vice versa. as for compatibility, i dont see why they wouldnt work. i know you guys have the security, immobilizer on your bikes and we dont. that would be the only factor i can think of. but i dont see how that would affect the gauges anyway. i'm sure someone that knows for a fact will chime in..
