USSA Sprint Car and Midget Championship Battles Resume October 19 at Anderson Speedway

After rain claimed the scheduled USSA Championship Day at Anderson Speedway, The Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW and Mel Kenyon Midget Series will return to Anderson Speedway on Saturday October 19th to settle the issue.

In the Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW Aaron Pierce, Tony Hunt and Chris Neunschwander will take to the track with 28 points separating Pierce and Hunt, while Neunschwander sits just 49 markers behind Hunt. All three drivers are still in the picture to take the inaugural Sprint Car Challenge Series Built by the UAW Championship.

Over on the Mel Kenyon Midget Series side the championship picture is much clearer. On the strength of his record setting nine wins, when Spencer Bayston takes the green flag of the feature race he will earn the 2014 championship. The battle for championship point race is between Travis Young, Clayton Gaines and Kent Kriegbaum. Young is currently 3rd leading Gaines by a scant 20 points, while Kriegbaum lays three points behind Gaines. Cordy Horn is in a solid second place.
