Montpelier Motor Speedway To Offer Midget Double Header Features Midgets and MTQRL Midgets this Saturday Night, September 14th

The September 14th racing program at the Montpelier Motor Speedway will offer race fans a rare treat with a program of a rare pairing of two separate Midget classes with the MMS Midgets and the three-quarter Midgets of the MTQRL. The event will feature Montpelier’s Midget Series which features full size Midgets and power plants and allows a platform for other engines including Focus, Ecotech, and Motorcycle powered entries to compete utilizing an unlimited weight break and additional tire width. The Montpelier Motor Speedway Midget Series features an open tire brand and compound rule and has averaged 22+ Midgets per event. Tony Rose and American Racer racing tires are the presenting trophy sponsor for the series.

The MTQRL has averaged 21 cars at the Montpelier Motor Speedway during the 2013 season with Nick Speidel and Tate Martz both scoring A Main feature events. Speidel and Martz both have made starts in the Montpelier Motor Speedway Midget series in full Midgets with Speidel picking up a win in 2012.

On September 7th, Fifteen Year Old, Parker Price Miller, continued a 2013 streak of no repeat winners in the Montpelier Motor Speedway Midget Series with his win over a 22 car field. Price-Miller passed Shane Hollingsworth at the midway point and held off a hard charging Justin Peck and Nick Lucas to secure his first Midget A Main feature event win. Price-Miller became the sixth different winner during the 2013 season joining Darren Hagen, Shane Hollingsworth, Billy Wease, Isaac Chapple, and Lynsey Liguori as 2013 event winners.
