For those of us that were fortunate enough to be at LPS on Saturday night, we were able to witness, in my opinion, the most memorable sprint car feature win I have ever seen. Jeff Bland was on his A game, and I have no dobut in my mind that the bobble he had on the last lap in turn 2 was righted from up above...Josh was with him. When he bobbled, you could hear a giant gasp in the grandstands, and it was then that I realized that in that moment, everyone knew we were on the edge of seeing the Burton family have a wonderful moment that they so deserve. I don't believe that there was anyone cheering for anyone else to win that race; as a racing family, the crowd stood united for the Burton's, Josh, and Jeff...the feeling of seeing that 04 Jerry Burton car take that checkered flag first sent a chill up my spine and brought smiles all around. I have never been more proud to say that I am a member of the dirt track racing family, and while we may not always see eye to eye, we rise and fall united as one.
