Rest in peace my friend, spent many a weekend night being scared by you.

As anyone that lives in Indiana knows Sammy Terry was loved by so many people, we are going to miss you.

The man that introduced me to all the great monster films of the thirties. A bowl of popcorn and Sammy Terry on Friday nights. I'll never forget those.RIP Sammy.

Nightmare Theater was on for almost 30 years! And Sammy Terry is a Hoosier icon. His evil laugh was scarier than the corny old movies that they played on his show. As a kid, that laugh scared the hell out you. But, not so bad that you had nightmares or didn't want to watch the next time you got to stay up that late. If they have a Hoosier hall of fame, Bob Carter needs to be there.

RIP Mr. Carter aka Sammy Terry - I remember watching Dracula for the first time & being thoroughly spooked, even though it was shall we say a little dated. Mr. Carter made weekend TV a lot of fun, and I'll never forget that laugh...

Sorry if this one goes a different direction...but late Friday nights at my favorite girls house, my teen years, and Sammy would keep her scared enough she had to hold on tight to my arm. I'm sure Sammy never knew he aided in romance too. & just fyi, a post earlier mentioned "George" his cheesy big black spider that dropped in on a very visible string, great special effects from the channel 4 staff, lol. Not too many fans also know that Mr. Carter did a tremendous amount for the Central Indiana community, he will be missed...bwaaa haaa haaa! bob
