From what I understand, Much of the Purse for the Mod event was raised by the LBurg Speedway Push truck team. In honor of Merrill Downey, Former LM and Mod champion at the Burg who passed. This is to be Commended! The price of Addmission has not changed for Front Gate.

Merrill was not just a extremely tough but clean racer, But a very nice guy! Id only seen him once other than chatting on IOW after his racing retirement and that day he met me at the gate with a free ticket......

Lets all Celebrate his Life and hope this race finds him smiling down from the Big Track in the sky. Im sure he'll be Pushin' the Cushion as he always did.
