It was a long Friday night at Bloomington, and for once I don't care . Most of the time a long night stinks. Not this time, mother nature got beat, and I saw all the features. Been a long couple weeks of rain, but it didn't beat Bloomington.

The track was tough to start with, but after a little grade work and rain, it was terrific . Tacky , fast and very racy. If you can start in the back and finish fourth, it's good, ask Hunter.

As for Poweri, great show. The feature was really good between Daum and Brown. One slip and it was Daum's.

Driver of the night goes to Casey Shuman, first in sprint cars, second in midgets. Great run, and classy driving. I know a lot of guys would've tried the slide job on Daum, and it wouldn't have been pretty. Casey didn't. Smart thinking Casey, and great driving.

Big crowd for the fireworks, and glad they got them in. The track took some civic responsibility in putting on the show this year. They're the only place in Bloomington who has one. The city says they don't have the money for them(fireworks),glad to see Bloomington did.

After the trials with the weather, Roberts , Karcher, and crew deserve a thank you. They didn't quit when the could've, and put on some great racing.
