This race had slipped my mind till earlier this afternoon when I saw Eckert's Month of April calendar on his Sprint car stats facebook page.
USSA announces their schedule, and then you never seem to hear a word from them. No hyping the race leading up to it etc. They are not alone in not sending out any PR beforehand though......
Another website - www.pavementsprints.com It's all about pavement winged and non-winged. New site, check them out. They are giving pavement sprints a site that anyone posting won't get ripped for liking pavement over dirt races. A very comprehensive list from across the country of the different pavement groups and their schedules.
I forgot this race was on a Sunday and just came to the conclusion that I'd miss it. Now, it looks like I might make it up there. Should be a good day of racing and hopefully everyone comes out to see it. I'd love to see this series take off like the Xtreme Series and run more and more tracks each year. There is definitely something to be said about racing a sprint car on pavement. Wing or not!
Maybe some of the people coming into town for the Kokomo GP will stick around...
1 lap Heat Races for the Kenyon Midgets, man that's short lol. Think they meant to add a zero. Hope the USSA Sprint Car Series has a great Opener! I would love to be apart of it!

Go old school and put some pavement tires on that dirt car.
Pavementsprints.com posted something on Twitter about this race. Not everybody does the Twitter thing though. I'll be there too. Hopefully I can find myself a crew job
