This is from the MTS rules on their web site http://www.mtsprints.com/

I know usually Waynesfield is open tire so I don't know which rules they are using for tires and MTS requires mufflers.

4.13. 112535 Schoenfeld mufflers mandatory.

5. Tires:

5.1. Hoosier DT 3 & ASCS National Tire (S.O.D. Tire) no other tire on the right rear will be permitted. No "soaking" of tires permitted.

I know staggerman, but I called Greg Shobe at Waynesfield yesterday about this as a few owners asked me about this at another track Friday night, and that's what I was told, no mufflers and open tire rule at both tracks for these events.

I'm hoping to get an official post from MTS so everyone will be aware of how it is ahead of time.

Just out of curiosity, is $1000 to win enough to attract any cars from their usual Sat nite tracks?

They have had some very good racing at Waynesfield this season, with decent car counts in all divisions.

The $1000 to win is kind of deceiving, as last season they were paying $1200 to win. With the fuel and travel expenses skyrocketing this season, they have taken $200 off the top, added an additional $250 to the sprint purse and spread it all out from 5th on back to help all the racers offset the travel expense increase.

And they still only charge $10 admission to the grandstands for a regular weekly show.

Pits: 4:00PM
Grandstands: 5:00PM
Hot Laps: 6:00PM
Race: 7:00PM

ya the pay back through the pack is pretty good... but you may be right will that pull cars from other tracks... i guess it depends i know all the big names will be at mscs race... $5000 to win i heard. but someone who normally doent run up front i think will have a better chance at a place like waynesfield... we will see... my fingers are crossed to keep the sun out for the weekend....:nonwingfan:
